A message from the President!

On behalf of the Hurlbutt Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), welcome back to school! My name is Jessi Regney, and I am honored to be serving as your PTO President for the first year! My husband, Matt, and I have two children-- Evee, who is entering 3rd grade at WIS and Clark, who is starting first grade here at Hurlbutt. I look forward to helping make our school community welcoming and fun for everyone!

I’m truly excited to work alongside our families, teachers, and staff to support the well-being of our students and foster a vibrant, connected school community. If this is your first year at Hurlbutt, a special welcome to you! My hope for the year ahead is to continue strengthening our sense of community, build meaningful connections among families, and support initiatives that promote belonging for every child.

The Weston Commission for the Arts and the 250 Committee present Movie Under the stars -

National Treasure - Saturday August 29 with the rain date of Sunday August 30.

Music starts at 6pm with the film at dusk/8pm. Weston Middle school field.

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and family for a fun evening. Tony's Pizza truck will be on hand as well.

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont’s Blue Ribbon Commission on K-12 Education Funding and Accountability is seeking input from families, educators, and community members on how the state funds public schools and how resources can best support students.

Your voice matters. Take the 5–10 minute anonymous survey to share your thoughts and ideas. Responses will be kept anonymous and shared only in aggregate.

The Center for Public Research and Leadership (CPRL) at Columbia University is helping facilitate the Commission’s work and administering the survey.
