Hurlbutt Elementary School PTO 2024-25 School Year

Below are accomplishments to date made possible by dedicated Hurlbutt PTO Board Members and generous contributions from Hurlbutt families!

FOR THE KIDS

• Distributed welcome-back-to-school goody bags
• Distributed Hurlbutt wall pennants to incoming Kindergarteners
• Hosted a Kindergarten fall play date

FOR THE PARENTS

• Hosted a Friendsgiving at Milestone
• Hosted a Kindergarten parent coffee
• Coordinated Room Parent assignments
• Coordinated LRC Volunteer assignments

FOR FAMILIES

• Hosted a Kindergarten Ice Cream Social before the first day of school
• Hosted a family beach party
• Offered new spirit wear options for kids and adults

FOR THE SCHOOL

• Provided welcoming and festive decorations for our entry loop
• Hosted a wildly successful Scholastic Book Fair to benefit OSOB, author visit, SPED resources, and more
• Coordinated School Picture Day

FOR STAFF

• Catered a Welcome Back to School luncheon & bus driver breakfast
• Handed out new bee t-shirts to all staff
• Provided snacks throughout Parent/Teacher conferences in fall 
• Delivered holiday gifts to our administrators

FOR THE COMMUNITY

• Donated 4 giant boxes of crayons to be recycled with the Crayon Initiative 
• Donated 87 wish list gifts and $2,200 for Weston Social Services
