Supporting Weston Families This Holiday Season

 

This holiday season, the Hurlbutt PTO is partnering with Weston Human Services to support local families in need. Together, we can help make the season a little brighter for our neighbors by collecting gift cards and financial donations that give families the flexibility to purchase food, clothing, and holiday gifts.

 

How It Works

  • When: December 1–December 12

  • Where: Drop off in the lockbox at the front entry of Hurlbutt under our Giving Tree or send donations via Venmo @HES-PTO-Weston (please note “Holiday Drive” in the memo).

  • What to Give:
    • Gift cards to local grocery stores (Stop & Shop, Caraluzzi’s, ShopRite)
    • Gift cards for clothes, toys & food (Target, Walmart, Amazon, or Visa/Mastercard)
    • Gift cards for gas (any gas station)
    • Gift cards for family experiences (Bowlero Bowling, AMC Theater, SkyZone, Nutmeg Bowl, Westport PAL Ice Rink)
    • Venmo financial contributions to @HES-PTO-Weston (100% of proceeds go directly to Weston Human Services)

Why It Matters

Weston Human Services provides confidential assistance to local families facing financial hardship. Your generosity helps them bring comfort, dignity, and holiday joy to children and adults in our own community.

 

How to Help

  1. Pick up an extra gift card the next time you’re shopping.
  2. Send a Venmo donation to @HES-PTO-Weston with “Holiday Drive” in the note.
  3. Encourage your child to help by decorating a holiday card or writing a message of kindness to be included with the donations.
